Global , October, 08 2016 - In many countries, lifting restrictions on interest rates would encourage lenders to create better products. A calibration of expectations would help, too. Microlending has gone from being the silver bullet to end poverty, to the poor man’s snare, to largely ignored. It would be better to think of it as a vital work in progress.
